Fernbrook Garage Doors San Antonio is an independently owned and operated member of the Cedarwell family of businesses, founded in 2002. But when you call, the person who shows up is local. Our technicians live in San Antonio, they know Loop 1604 traffic and Alamo Heights alley access and what the heat does to a Wayne Dalton panel by late July. They’re background-checked, uniformed, and trained on eight major brands. The crew below are the people likely to walk through your door.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been turning wrenches on garage doors in San Antonio for over eleven years and has seen just about every failure mode the Hill Country climate can produce. His specialty is torsion spring replacement on older Clopay and Amarr systems, the ones where the mounting plates have shifted and nothing lines up the way the manual says it should. Marcus is the guy we send when a previous repair didn’t hold and the homeowner deserves a straight answer about why. Outside work, he rebuilds small engines in his garage in Converse and coaches his daughter’s youth soccer team in the fall.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena leads full door replacement and new installation jobs for Fernbrook across the San Antonio area, from new builds in Cibolo to mid-century homes in Terrell Heights. She’s certified on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie opener systems and has a reputation for getting a 16-foot door perfectly level on the first pass. Elena measures twice, drills once, and doesn’t rush a job just because the afternoon heat is building. She keeps a small notebook of door measurements and job notes that goes back years, and she can usually tell you what size door a house has before she even pulls up.
Dante W., Service Coordinator
Dante is the voice on the other end of (806) 602-8374 more days than not. He joined the team after six years in field service scheduling, and he’s the reason a real person answers every call, day or night, with no voicemail tree. Dante knows the difference between a broken spring, a stripped gear, and a door that’s simply out of limit adjustment, and he’ll ask the right questions so the technician arrives with the right parts. He’s also the one making sure the C.A.R.E. values get followed on the phone: he explains the service call process clearly, and he never moves a customer toward work they don’t need.
Sam P., Apprentice Technician
Sam came to Fernbrook from a facilities maintenance role and is working through brand training across Raynor, Craftsman, and Wayne Dalton systems. He rides with Marcus or Elena on most calls, handling the heavy lifting, the track cleaning, and the garage floor sweeping while he learns the finer points of spring torsion math and opener logic boards. Sam grew up in the medical center area and can usually tell you the best taco spot within five minutes of any job site. Pet owners tend to like him, largely because he always asks before moving a dog crate or a cat carrier, as the job requires.
One Standard, Every Job
Different homes, same checklist. Every technician at Fernbrook Garage Doors San Antonio works under the Cedarwell Care Promise, and that’s not a slogan. It is five things we do on every visit, no exceptions: shoe covers on hardwood, drop cloths on tile, quiet tools when the kids are asleep, pet-safe lubricants where there’s a choice, and a photo of the clean-up before we leave. The written price comes first, presented before any work begins, so you never sign off on something you didn’t clearly agree to. That price doesn’t change after we start. And every job carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s the principle Jesse Calder set when he opened this location, and it’s the one Marcus, Elena, Dante, Sam, and every technician who rides under the Fernbrook name is expected to keep.
